Scouts

Scouts gives young people skills for life. We actively engage and support them in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. In partnership with the adult Leaders, young people take part in fun indoor and outdoor activities.

Underpinned by our Scout values, we encourage the Scouts to embrace healthy risk taking in a safe, managed way. We do this by offering activities and events that are varied, sometimes challenging and frequently adventurous. Examples of healthy risk taking while at Scouts would include rock climbing and abseiling, going on an expedition, learning survival skills, trying new activities or speaking in front of the group.

They learn by doing, and to this end Scouts will find our programme both fun and stretching, giving them room to grow all while enjoying responsibility, independence and friendship.

Most of our Scouts have ‘moved up’ from Cubs, however we can sometimes offer spaces to new Scouts. To join our waiting list please fill out the form here.
